You bring up a lot of good points. I think that in 2004, Bernie will be coming in to run for Governor. I would never vote for the guy, because he is a Socialist. But I think that Shumlin will proubly run again for Lt. Governor or Governor. He isn't done yet. Peter Welch wants it again too. The guy obviously wants the Pro Temp position so he can run for higher office. The Senate will eat Dubie up, because of his conservative viewpoints. I do not think he will win re-election if he runs again. We havn't even started the new session yet, so I have no idea. It is also obvious that Walter Freed, the man who wants power (will proubly run for Governor or US Senate). At the state house, I have heard some rumors about Skip Vallee running against Leahy. I have no idea if its true.

Douglas, I think, won't be that bad. You can expect Racine to proubly run again. But if Douglas does a pretty crappy job managing the state, then you can be sure that the people will vote him out. Plus, the Hogan factor will not be there. It may be the Bernie factor, in 2004.
