Yes Susi, Leland is a pill. Furthermore, I like your politics.

I agree with many of the points that you outline here. And though it is early to say ... I doubt that Douglas will be a one term governor. Vermonters just don't turn out incumbants anymore. I can not recall the last time an incumbant Governor was not re-elected. And Jim (though I don't like him much) is not stupid ... he knows how to play the game ... how to say what the people want to hear ... and how to avoid saying what we don't want to hear.

The Senate is going to eat Dubie for lunch ... you are right about that ... and he is going down when (and if) the left get's its s*** together again. Let's hope that is 2004.

Also, I think that Freed will be our next speaker.

I hope that I am wrong on these points (except the Dubie one). If I am ... who do you think will topple Jim Douglas in 2004?
