I see Brian as a bomb ready to explode. With Pete's and Will's help, he is learning to understand his emotions. Brian is still a loner. He is waiting for the next thing to happen to "detroy" his life. Maybe he is more comfortable being closed up with all that anger. Alone, he can count on the one person who won't let him down or hurt him. I see that because of how Pete is treating him, Brian is slowly starting to see he is important and the wall is coming down. I see that Brian cares for Pete, but deep down is afraid to let it all show.

Pete and Brian know each other, period. They were best friends in school. They know each other as friends, not just lovers. Things may have changed over the three years, but they still know each other.

Pete is the solid rock. I see him as the dominant one in the relationship, but not by much. I see him as the fatherly type, not just to Brian, but to Jason and Ray. But he can also be the kid he needs to be. It's almost as if he really does care more for Brian, than Brian does for him. I think that Pete being so strong during those three years solidified his feelings for Brian so that nothing will pull him away.
