I'm not a mom, but I have cleaned some plush animals before.

Usually, it's easiest to stick them in a pillowcase, tie it shut, and use the washing machine and dryer. If there's a stubborn surface stain, I think you can also try some handwashing. But the washer/dryer works, but really, honestly, use a pillowcase.

But check the tag on the toy first---it might have some materials in it that will melt in the dryer no matter what, so in that case, yeah, no dryer.
