"So that's what her scream sounds like..." was my first thought. She is such a nice baby to have.

She now weighs 11 lbs 9 oz, and is 24" tall, the 75% for weight and 90% for height. Doctor said she is growing well.

Anyway, blah blah blah about Ruby. ;-) I love her.

I thought Tolstoy was going to be a bore, or hard to understand. I'm sure it would bore some people, but I really like it. I told Joe when I began the book that I was only going to give it 20 pages, and if I wasn't into it, then I'd quit. I don't think I'd nescissarily (sp? one of those words I can never spell) re-read it, unless if I got really into Russin lit and decided to do a major paper on it.

I want to start some MA classes for an MA in English (I think). I think I could do an MA in Education really easily, and do well, but I don't think it interests me the same as an MA in English. I think I'd be more inclined to do an MA in Eng, and a PhED (or what ever the doctorate program is) in Education.

This is the problem: do you guys look back on your papers for your BA and feel utterly embarassed? I doubt it. I always imagined Jess and Elisa writing the most scholarly stuff. But all of my papers for my BA are just so stupid. I feel like I need to write a really great paper so that I have something to submit for my writing sample for any MA Eng program. Plus, taking the GRE...YUCK. Anyway...reading this Tolstoy makes me miss school. I'm sure I'm just missing so much good stuff in the book and in his writing because I don't have a professor to guide me. I'm such an English dork.

I love listening to Ruby's breathy breathing on the monitor while she sleeps. It is so sweet. ;-)

Bye,
Em
