I don't think anyone reads this but you and I Sarah,
but well said.

I agree most people don't know that much about the topic. I agree the media's impact upon this issue is amazing, as is always the case with American media. Somehow the terrorist attacks have become intermingled with the Iraq affair, an opportunity used by Bush to finish the work his father began. What's funny is that if the UN's main concern was nuclear power, they would typically begin with the most dangerous, the United States. I think you're dead on agree about Korea, however I know why Bush avoids it. Too many Americans remember the costs of the Korean war. Particularly, his republican supporters.

Clearly we have democracy gone amuk, the freedom Bush speaks of is through a new kind of dictator democracy, and Americans don't seem to notice, chalking it up as good guidance. Bush does have his agenda, while the media and his caucus clamour with new things to tell the public, lets be realistic, the war started a long time ago.

I wonder how the UN could remove such a movement towards war. Negotiation always works only so far. But I think that diplomacy is a necessary tool. I think the anti-war promoters elude to the fact that negotiation is deliberately being abandoned in order to fit the war in before the heat waves in the middle east. I certainly hope we can see some discussion, rather than large threats during prime time television. But then, I think that we've already let that door close.
