I used to know a lad down the pub who grew up in the JA. I can't really remember everything he said. But he hated them. He said they were sods to him as a kid.

Would I be right in thinking that at times they would tie some child to a chair for hours on end in isolation? I'm sure he said that, as well as alot of other unpleasant goings on. All for the crime of nicking an apple or something. They had no toys or anything.
