On one hand I appreciate your calm, cool and collected answer, Ketch, on the other hand I resent it. This thread is about the infallibity of the Guru. We are all seekers, otherwise we wouldn’t be here, would not post. What is it that we seek, truth I guess – in conjunction with this infallible wondrous being, which in turn should give happiness, fulfillment, less suffering, etc. Staying out of politics is all right but not when core issues are at stake. Case in point, Yogananda claimed that if everybody would embrace Kriya Yoga there would be peace on earth (because we all would see the image of God in the other, or something to this effect). SRF, however, has been embroiled since early on in law suits and strife. Walrus or not, there seems to be little peace up there on MW. So I for one, have decided to forgo all organizations, infallible or otherwise.

Lahiri’s message, for instance, was one of true non-sectarianism, it seems, and I could stick with him, even if he was fallible. Strangely enough, there seems to be confusion in the Lahiri lineage too, but I still know too little about that. When all else fails, the MASTER is within. Isn’t that what Sri Nerode wrote about after he left PY?
