I think Inara and Mal are a lot more complicated than we ever got to see. Mal has always struck me as the sort of guy where you have to look at his actions, not his words. No matter what he might say, Kaylee's right to call him a nice guy. No matter what words he called Inara, when the Reavers showed up, he was willing to risk his life to make sure the "civilians" escaped.

And kudos to Joss for a sexy, passionate married couple. "I need this man to rip my cloths off."
