*Update* I've played a couple of par 3 rounds and the good news is my haven't dropped at all. Usually when you do an equipment change you can expect a "growing pains" period and then you catch up and surpass your old equipment. My chipping has improved considerably though as the callaway X-12's aren't exactly the best clubs to chip with but the 1- irons have much less bounce and you can effectively chip with any club. I haven't hit the balls as solidly as I like but that will improve with some range time. I'll be out of the game until wednesday evening when finals are done and then I'll have a full month to dial my game in. I feel like the scores I'm shooting are just the beginning of the curve where as with my old clubs I felt consistently inconsistent and it would all depend on the day. The only negative I have found so far is the grips are great except in the rain. We had little rain shower today and the club would twist on impact and felt very slick. (I carry 2 gloves and switched them and they were still slick) I won't let one bad experience change my mind but if it happens again I'll be re-gripping them with my trust Lamkin's. All in all though I am very impressed with the clubs and I feel like I will definitely shave some strokes off my game in the next two weeks. By the way all of my golf buddies were watching closely and I have a feeling if my game goes the way I see it going then David might have a few more orders coming out of Texas.
