Subject: Dont play often but still score well with 1irons

Interesting enough the last couple of years I play less and less as I have other interests like riding my motorcycle.

Last week I got invited by some friends to play and they play almost every day, I told them I only play 3-4 times a year and am out of practice, They told me dont worry its a scramble best ball. I only had1 day before to practice and really only practice 3/4 shots and putting.

well I smoked the 3 in the group and they called me a liar, I just laughed, I mentioned I noticed everyone has new clubs again? They jokingly told me we noticed you are still playing those beat up shorty 1iron things,

I then said Oh you mean the clubs that just smoked you guys, yup still work great after 5 years, little beat up but just fine. I mentioned How far are you hitting those rocketballz 500 yards now into the woods LOL couldn't help it.

This same thing has happened to me a number of times. Once you groove your single swing it's like riding a bike.
