Subject: Bryson Dechambeau single length clubs

Watching the men's NCAA's on the golf channel and they are noting that Dechambeau plays with a single length set of clubs 3-LW. Also noted he is a physics major. Is he playing the 1irons?

So Bryson Dechambeau won the NCAA men's title today with his single length clubs. He is getting all kinds of run on the Golf Channel. Charlie Rymer said the only way you could get single length clubs like Bryson is to build them in your basement. Totally Cluless.

David Lake, the iron is hot. Make the most of it!

Put a great golfer studying physics with the master Club maker David Edel. What do you get? Success.

I saw this too. Saw the interviews with the kid, he makes it sound like he invented/thought of the one club length, head weight, shaft frequency himself. And the golf channel and talking heads are giving him all the credit too. Don't they know 1Iron Golf has been around for more than a decade? And who really came up with this idea and got the products made?
If not I think the whole golf world should know. Also this kid should be let known to back off from his proprietary comments as he looks like he copied everything he made from 1Iron Golf!

You're 100% correct. 1 Iron golf has been around for over seventeen years and has pioneered this system of play. Although Bryson DeChambeau has made a name for himself through outstanding play, he should give credit where credit is due and not try to take credit for the concept.

Bryson makes the cut. His vid shows his swing wt is at c4, must be the grips that make it light. Dunno what the swing wt the 1 irons golf clubs are. He is not really swinging in the barrel but very upright. and a 43 inch driver. He could gone to Dave rather than spend 399 a club, but maybe Edel got him his set.

It kills me that the golf channel says that you have to build single-length irons yourself or have a custom shop like Edel build them for you. David Lake is the pioneer in single-length clubs and his 1 Iron Golf company has been around for almost two decades. It's an awful big coincidence that the specs for Byson's irons are virtually the same as the 1-Irons.

The golf channel, Golf Digest, and all the other golf publications should do their research before they state something. An internet search on any search engine for single-length clubs shows 1 Iron Golf at the top. David Lake should get the proper credit.
