Based upon a W-T-F measurement of 34”-34.9” your irons would be 36.5” in club length (typical #8 iron). Not only would the club lengths be the same throughout your set but also the weight, lie angle, offset, shaft flex, etc.

Bear in mind that the loft angles of your R11 irons are almost one club stronger than typical iron loft angles. A few golf club manufacturers (most notably Taylormade and Callaway) make their irons with “strong” loft angles in order to give the illusion that their golf clubs produce increased distance. This is just a cheap marketing ploy that is very unfair to the consumer. You have heard golfers say it a thousand times: "I can hit this #8 iron a lot farther then my old #8 iron". The fact is that they can't. What they can do is hit an #8 iron with a 35º loft angle farther than an #8 iron with a 39º loft angle. When we speak of distance increases using 1 Iron Golf clubs we are referring to the increases you will get as a result of consistent solid ball contact coupled with the dynamics of club-head design and shaft optimization. In practically every case our customers will hit our 39º loft angle iron farther than their old 39º loft angle iron for exactly these reasons. You cannot compare one manufacturer's numbered iron with that of another manufacturer; you have to compare loft angles. It just comes down to a comparison of apples to apples.

I have been playing the 1irons since the first David lake Maltby designs. been through at least 4 sets 1 lost during travel one I keep at work one at home and I gave a set to a student when I taught years ago. Once you fine tune your swing and trust what the irons are designed to do they will. I am now 50 years young and I can say I have never hit the ball farther, I am not implying I swing faster but I am striking the ball pure and as efficient as I can. I do not play as much as I used to simply because I have more interests. But it is simply much easier to get beck in the grove even from a short break. I will be in the market for another set of 1irons soon as my last purchase as I am getting ready to give one of my older sets away to a young golfer just starting out. Get the distance comparo thing out of your mind just master accuracy and consistent distance control. The 1irons will be good to you, just give them time to work for you.
