Subject: Proline vs Blackstone

Hi - I have never played single length irons but the concept makes some sense to me and Im very intrigued by it. I’m around a 4 handicap and have played Ping irons for years (currently I200). Besides the finish (I love the look of the Blackstones), can you explain what the differences are from a performance standpoint between the proline and blackstone irons? Also, could I get a quote on a set of Blackstones consisting of the 6 iron (31 degree?) through 59 degree wedge? Didn’t see that pkg option on your website. Thanks very much.

Craig,

Overall performance is identical. The main difference is the black PVD finish on the Blackstones which takes clubface alignment to a whole new level. Having the clubface open or closed by only 0.5º results in an off line shot to the green of 10 to 15 yards. This simply does not occur with the Blackstones. The difference in clubface alignment at address between a standard chrome plated or a brushed steel clubface and our black PVD finish clubface is something you have to experience to believe.

The price of an 8 iron set is the same regardless of set make-up. Give us a call at 719-439-7036 and we can customize your set make-up.
