Mr.Lake, having similar issues with my 3 and 4 iron. Higher irons are not an issue, but I am not getting much height or distance with the low irons at the moment. I read the article you referenced and it has only been about a month for me with the new prolines, is it just more time and practice? Thanks.

John,

You are correct, more time. The main thing is to not be intimidated by the #3 and #4 irons as they are just as easy to hit as the rest of the irons within your set. I would go to the range taking only your #3 and #4 irons and just make easy swings to get used to the feeling. The main problem I have found is that golfers tend to swing out of their shoes with these irons thinking that this is what is needed to hit the longer shots. This is not the case as the lower loft angles are what provide the distance, so do not try to overpower them.
