Of course you can stick to playing football Joanne, that's what BUSA leagues are for !!

It is patently unfair for a Uni with all it's excellent facilities and ability to attract players from all over the country to be competing in the pyramid along with bona fide clubs. Uni players, particularly Loughborough, are invariably studying sports related subjects and therefore have access to first rate training and fitness facilities that by necessity go with the study area. Their players could be considered the closest thing to professionals without being paid !!
Bona Fide clubs have members (usually with full time jobs) and an organisation structure in it for the long haul, often with junior set ups that require hours of dedicated voluntary work. Uni teams are a completely different animal, at most your players are with you for 3/4 years ? You were in the same division as Nottingham, Leicester, Loughboro and Belper last season, all of whom have to support a junior structure while trying to gain National Division status to enhance the Womens game locally. Not for you any such wider ideals, just playing for fun until you return to your native area when times up to continue your sport with whatever team you are near. Meanwhile this season you will damage the chances of Lichfield, Chesterfield, Shrewsbury et al with their duty to their youngsters as you did to the above teams last season !!

Sure let them compete in the FA Cup but to include them in the pyramid is a nonsense that needs to be addressed by the Women's FA !! The Mid Comb and South East Comb leagues are not to blame, even if the ridiculous example of Camb Uni still being in negative points because of cancellations is taken into account !!

Do the mens teams compete within their pyramid ?? No they stick to the BUSA leagues where they are competing like with like.

So, Joanne and Katie, play the game and stick to the BUSA leagues, there's plenty of footy for you there so you wont be deprived. Although no doubt you already play there aswell midweek !!!
