How I love your style of writing! You make me burn with envy, truly. This is a fantastic narrative, your usages of speech and figurative devices reach deep. The end doesn't seem like the end, tho...Seems like there should be more, but maybe it is just me wanting to read more. Perhaps, using this same tone, the same wording, you should expand this into a short story. I would definitely like to read more. I especially loved the line that Kent spoke about writing not being a choice. It is SOOOO true. Thank you so much for posting this. I am exhilirated and inspired.
