Subject: Chris Craft 22 foot Cutlass

I am looking for a 1964 22 foot Chis Craft Cutlass to restore. I live in Oregon and this boat was very popular in the 60s but I am having trouble finding this specific boat.Any help or info as where to look would be appreciated. THANKS RAY

the cc cutlass was a dory style boat started building in the mid sixties up to about 1968 some were an open center console and others had a small cuddy cabin mostly powered with a cc 327 cid small block chevy mtr 210 hp

Ray - According to the Chris Craft "The Essential Guide" The Cutlass was made by the Cavalier Division of Chris-Craft 1964-1968. There were 355 boats built in 22 feet. The boat was offered with the 283F or the 327F engines.The hull was of plywood lapstrake construction.The photo shows an unusual windshield/helm station.I have read all wood boat ads for decades now and I don't ever remember seeing a Cutlass listed.As with the Sea Skiffs the survival rate of the Cutlass might now be very good. You might try running an ad in WoodenBoat or one or more of the antique and classic boating publications. Good luck with your search. Ken J.

I have a 1967 26 ft Chris Craft Cavalier Cutlass Convertible...it has a 327-210HP V-8 ....one of only 2 boats imported into Canada in 1967....I have the original ship builder's documentation stamped by a notary public...the boat was manufactured in Cadillac Micchigan and sold to McMillan-Wrigley Chris Craft in Pt.Lambton, Ontario, Canada.....I am 3rd Owner (I believe) and just yesterday Ted Wrigley (Co-owner of the importing firm) stopped by my boatwell and gave me the history of the vessel...send me your email address and I'll send you a picture......RWC

I have a 1968 Cavalier Cutlass on City Island (Bronx) NY. I put a lot of work into her in the late '80s and early '90s but she hasn't been in the water since 94 or 95. She has been well-covered and properly stored since. I'm about to give the boat back to the yard in return for storage fees, but if anyone's interested in her I can give you the coordinates of the yard.

I have a 1964 22' chris craft cutlass with the 327 engine in excellent condition. It was completely redone in 1993 and came from a person who took care of it. It has seen only fresh water its whole life and has absolutely no rot anywhere. it has a full mooring cover and bimini top. All it really needs is the bottom painted and it is ready to go.
