Subject: Rub rail

Recently aquired a 1959 18'sea skiff.Wondering what kind of rub rail was original to the boat.Upon removing the rotted half round nailed in oak molding I discovered it was a former home contractors poor choice in restoration materials that caused rot in both the plywood substrate and the gunnel cleat.Anyone out there know have close up photos of their skiff (1954-59)to see what type and thickness was original to my boat?Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Mark

I have an 18" 1959 sea skiff, but it's at the coast. Please send an email to this address to remind me and I'll send you a pic of the rub-rail.

Nina
