Subject: Ex-students?

Why is it necessary to seperate ex-students and students? Surely if a couple has one student in it then they should be able to dance with other students?

From a personaly view point, at surrey many of our couples involve ex-students, especially the more advanced couples. As a relatively small club we find difficulties in getting couples to enter competitions. As a result we have loads of part ex-student couples (mainly dancers that have competed whilst at uni themselves and wish to continue with a university society after studies). The problem comes when the standard of the ex-competition is varied, take ex-student at IVDA last year.... It seems silly to lump people together based on their educational standing and not on their dancing ability... Correct me if I have got the wrong end of the stcik regarding the constitutional change proposed?
