I think I understand your idea of divine inspiration much better now. And, for the most part, I can agree with your assertion that God has worked through men, inspiring them to create beautiful music, literature, etc.

However, I do not equate any work of man to be on the same level as Scripture. Our differences in this matter appear to be theological. I made the incorrect assumption that you and I, as Christians, held the same opinion regarding Scripture, that it is the inerrant Word of God (in its original inception).

Perhaps, now you can understand why I found the comments in your article disturbing. For if you held the position that I espouse, then your comparisons, well, I think you get the point.

Regardless, I need to get out and see this movie. I'm sure I'll have more to say then.
