(OOC: All right, everyone read this carefully...I'm hoping to avoid too much confusion. I'd planned for Unit Two to join in the battle, so I've had them move temporarily to this board. Right now though, they're still about 200 miles apart, so neither Unit can or see what the other Unit is doing yet. And "Garrick" (you know who you are), feel free to start whenever you're ready--and if you have any questiions, contact me.)
Meanwhile, one dimension away...
Four armed assault shuttles, each bearing the green, "Infinty" symbol of Infinitum, GmbH, cruised towards the jump point in daimond formation.
Aboard "Spade One", the ship leading the formation, Krin, leader of the reaction force sent to aid Montrose, ran through a last rafio check, making sure all of his units had made the last jump successfully. "Wait a minute...we're missing someone." There were supposed to be five ships in the formation, each carrying 30 seasoned troops, for a total of 150 men--nearly half of whom possessed a considerable degree of magic in attition to their normal abilities.
"Yes sir," replied the radio opeator. "It's Spade Five--the ship carrying Garrick's squad. They said they had a momentary jump drive failure. They've got it fixed, but they'll be arriving about five minutes behind the rest of us now. Should we wait, sir?"
Krin shook his head. "We haven't the time...we'll just let them catch up on their own we've already reached the jump point--"
As he said this, all four of the ships vanished in a bright flash of light, reappearing 200 miles east of Berlin. The plan was for them to slip in behind Unit One as they fought their way into the castle.
Unfortunately, no one told Krin about the little executive shuttle coming up behind them...
Lucca was just about to ask Michelle what she was going to say--when an urgent beeping noise was heard from the cockpit. Lucca huried forward and quickly found the source of the noise--the sensors picked up four Infinitum craft phasing into the dimension, and bearing towards Berlin.
She breathed a audible sigh of relief. "Looks like we're just in time..." Then she called back behind her. "Alright, we've found them! Get ready--we'll be in attack range in three minutes!!"
Unfortunately, what she and Unit Two didn't know was that Garrick's heavily armed ship was only a few short minutes from appearing behind THEM...
