those cold and warm air pockets really affects those old prop planes bow. i've rode in a jet fighter trainer and jets just cut right on through. went up a few times in a small craft; flying over trees, it will fall, when you break out over wheatfields it will rise.

traveled old rt66 in my younger days. from Tucumcari to Flagstaff i saw a lot of hogans with the people living in them while a new government house sat next door. i got the idea then that they were warmer than a frame house.
some of the houses we lived in you would look through a crack in the wall if you wanted to look outside.:)
i would visit a g uncle and aunt that reminded me of Little Trees' granparents. they had log cabin with a dirt floor, way back in the hills, and it was real warm in there.(she always had some frybread tucked away.)
