You have a very interesting and valid point. However...

1. It is not that difficult to send a second copy of the fax/e-mail our direction. They get Western Outdoor Lies to publish their info along with their costly advertizements a week and a half late. They can send me a second copy of that fax and have the same info online by sundown of the dy the boat makes port. Theyn still get their WON stuff, and for those who want to know what is happening up to date: they can come here.

2. Problem #2: Not all the boats make out reports. When the Red Rooster III makes port, Danny sends out a report with dates, numbers, weights, counts, and quotes/comments. Very professional, very timely.

I recently called the office of an unnamed long-range boat, and asked for a copy of the report. "Uhhh, we don't have one." was the reply. I asked how WON got their info. She said that WON called every Sunday to ask what was going on. I asked her and she sent me a fax with the jackpot winners, weights and species, and a comment "We had steady fishing the whole trip." THAT WAS IT. It didn't say how long the trip was, how many passangers, captain, etc. Needless to say, the report did not go up.

I understand what you are saying with their ad dollars going to WON. However, there is nothing to lose by sending us a report, and there is no conflict of interest. ONLY FREE ADVERTISING FOR ANY LONG-RANGE BOAT THAT WANTS IT.
