I don't have a Britax, but I have to admit I put Valeria in ff about a month ago, bc she didn't fit in our little car in the new carseat, and the old one was way too small for her. But to the point, Iput her straps where they fit her, just about her shoulders ( middle position ), my carseat does recline, it doesn't look that obvious when ff, but it does, and third, I do think their heads do tilt a little bit, that's why I have her's reclined, and my carseat has the bumpers on the side that help a bit. The only advice I can give you is bing a small pillow or a blanket to roll and put it on her side so she can rest her head
