Ok I know all of ya'll may not know but I was not born here(MS) but have lived here just about 20 yrs now . Ok that said ....When I was little I don't ever remember saying Miss (first name). But I remember we were respectful to adults . When we moved down here I did think it was hard to get use to using Miss Denise or Mr. John . But now I do see it as respect. I remember when I worked out in the public that when people come in from other parts of the country if you asked them something ...they would say yes or no .....I find that disrespectful you SHOULD say something like yes mam or no sir ......I know some people were not raised that way I WASN"T. But my children will be ! I find it just as disrespectful as someone calling their parents by their first name, but lets not get started on that ...

Sorry it was this is so long but thats JMO.(I know , I know Cathy .......sorry )
