I feel like I've been gone forever & I apologize, but we had family in town for the weekend. So, Friday evening, DF, DS, and I are playing in the family room, discussing how DS was walking for dc just the previous day, when he FINALLY does it for us, ON PURPOSE & SO PROUD!! We could NOT contain ourselves, we were so happy & proud :)
So DF set up the camcorder & we got shots!!! When he can get it on the computer, I'll post it (like Karen & Sherri did) only I'M IN IT, TOO!! Oh, no, you guys will get to see me in all my glory, LOL ;) MIL & her dh finally arrive & get to see the video, plus DS actually walked for them, too!
Saturday was a blur of excitement, fun, eating, & shopping ... it was Winterfair 2002 :) An art show that is so cool. Corben did SO WELL all day, I can't even tell you. Only fussed a little bit when he was tired but wouldn't nap; DF bounced the stroller a while & DS couldn't stay awake! Slept like 2.5 hours or s/t, it was great! Oh, he got so many looks & SMILES at him; we are just too darn proud to be his parents!!
We got some Santa gifts as well as others. I'm very curious now b/c DF told me that my Christmas present is big, so I'm really wondering! But back to the topic ;) DS did very well at the restaurant after and back at home, where he didn't go to bed until everyone left around 10:30 or so? We only have one extra bed, so the normal group stayed in a hotel like every year (we do Winterfair every year! OH WOULDN'T MISS IT!!). He also took steps to show off to everyone at our home Sat. night, such a cutie.
Today was brunch & DF's Christmas party. My father drove down to watch DS for us; we were only gone less than 4 hours. They had a blast & DS apparently didn't cry at all. He had a big blowout ;) but pop-pop handled it just fine! He is in heaven w/his grandson.
Thanks for reading, had to share our wonderful & FUN weekend :) I must tell you, also, that I missed my ZF friends & thought of you guys often!

P.S. In case I go to bed now & don't post on other threads ... HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY to those I missed - Elizabeth, Valeria, & Trista!!! Gotta get some sleep, y'all take care & watch for those Christmas Cards soon; I'm working on them!
