Hello- This is the first chance I've had to post over here. I hope no one minds. I just have to respond to Donna's post though because I too have had great difficulties getting my Jacob to drink formula. In fact for the past week and a half all he would drink was water. He flat out refuses to take a bottle (he thinks he's such a tough guy!). I have tried EVERYTHING to get him to drink formula or milk. It was driving me insane, until last night. I offered him a sippy cup filled with milk and he drank it, I was so happy that I cried! Today, I offered him 3 sippy cups filled with milk and each time he drank about 3-4 oz. I am so pleased that he's finally drinking something other than water! My guess is that since he's teething the bottle was hurting him somehow and for some reason the taste of formula repulses him. However, I will continue to give him 5 oz of formula in his cereal twice a day though to make sure he's getting his nutrients. I doubt I was any help to you Donna, I just wanted you to know that you're not the only one stressing about this.
Janice
