I think I know what you are refering to ok I will try and explain....

From what we get on TV (sorry I know you guys arent probably like what they portrey) it looks as though you guys have a lot of traditions and have far more empahsis placed on christmas day....

In Australia we do all the same things except wejust are a bit blazze' about them ie we still trim the tree but we dont make a big ceremony out of it nor do we have a specific day of the year etc etc etc

when it comes to christmas eve we basically treat it like another day and in the evening you may watch the carols by candlelight concert on TV but we wont get any carollers by the door or anything like that....

Christmas day is basically the same thou witht he whole present opening, hot lunch (YES I SIT THRU A COOKED ROAST DINNER IN THE MIDST OF SUMMER 35C+ - LOL) and small festivities....

I guess Im just a bit swayed by TV and want this perfect family, spotless immaculately decorated house, 5 course xmas lunch that looks like it has been prepared by a team of world renounded chefs ;0) HE HE HE then I come crashing back down to earth :0)

Hope that helped you out!!
Donna
