Subject: Christian Biker's Rally In Ephrata, Wa. Is a Big Success.

Good clean healthy fun was had by all this weekend in Ephrata, Wa. There was no drinking, no smoking, no drugs and no foul talk; Christian atmosphere prevailed. Nice to see a biker rally where those in attendance do not have to frequent the bars to feel good about themselves. This is the type of activity that all communities should favor instead of encouraging the lessor evils. We all savored the flavor. Quite a noticable contrast to Rally held in Soap Lake. Ephrata made a good showing. Looking to see all of you again next year in Ephrata. Thanks for the memories.

There was NO ACTION in Ephrata. No bikes were seen. A BIG NOTHING. Soap Lake had 200 - 300 bikes, which is not 4000, but there was no drinking visible, all was clean fun. Harley Lover speaks with forked tongue.

MOTORCYCLES AND DRINKING DON'T MIX. BIG RISK FACTOR. This weekend you caught sight of Soap Lake locals driving automobiles that were pulled over for going a few miles over speed limit. The fact remains, event or no event, drinking while driving motorcyles are also traffic violations.

HARLEY LOVER WAS AT NEITHER EPHRATA OR SOAP LAKE EVENTS. TELL US ANYTHING ABOUT THE SOAP LAKE EVENT THAT WOULD ONLY BE KNOWN BY SOMEONE WHO WAS ACTUALLY THERE, NOT JUST TRASHING.

You wouldn't see us or find us talking to anyone who thinks they have eyes in the back of your head. I like the above message statement...no "visible" drinking. Almost as much as the City signs put up and down Main St;-- no alcohol, no drugs, no bad attitudes.

Watched the big banner being put up PUD. Would this qualify for use of PUBLIC EQUIPMENT. Political Subsidaries, like Grant County PUD, often have Volunteers who willing to donate their TIME off the clock BUT PUBLIC EQUIPMENT AND PRIVATE LAND IS A WHOLE OTHER DOG THAT CAN BITE YOU. Why does City grant money to what clearly proves to be mere noisy drinking events inhabited by more outsiders than insiders re Soap Lake taxpayers? Money can be better spent to benefit the community as a WHOLE.

The Christian Biker Rally sets a good example for young children who are easily influenced by what they see adults do. Soap Lake's East Beach Park and children's playground sets smack in the center of Soap Lake's Hog Run. How about that? Those taxpaying citizens concerned about parental guidance and X-rate movies have no alternative but to leave the park when the HOGS arrive. One would think the City Fathers would have sense enough to consider what being good role models means and not be so free to give out the key to the City. How about useing descretion when it comes to drugs and alcohol? Those foam wrappers over beer cans don't fool when you can't walk a straight line. During City sanctioned activities at East Beach a thriving recycling for profit goes on. I like to watch the collecting of all the beer cans. Even on the Sabbath, which is the Lord's Day, there are pup tents and hogs. City does not allow outsiders or residents to pitch a tent at East Beach and camp for FREE. Of course not, they will have to pay for camping at the City owned Camper's Korner. Double standards are par for SL City Gov. SL Fathers needs to raise the bar. The have allowed East Beach to be treated like a bar for years!!!!! Course what can we expect when the breath of those in power is no better. There were many years when those in the audience would be afraid to light a match at a Council meeting for fear City Hall would go up in flames. Not a good state for making decisions.
