The project application sent into the State Agency by Giant Lava Lamp promotors refers to jobs the project will create. {quote} Jobs Created in 1-3 Years: 10
Jobs Created in 3-5 Years: 50
Jobs Retained: 100 {unquote}

RE: Important Issues, 1-2-3
(1.) The State Agency did not accept application.
(2.) Consumption of ENERGY to operate a giant lava lamp is A WASTE. Energy needs to be Conserved.
(3.) After considering all aspects of the project, leaders have said that it might well prove to not be feasible and the cost will kill any possible chances of being funded.

Soap Lake Garden Club has the best project. Their donation drive has been going on for many years now. It has been a real struggle but they are nearer and nearer to placement in the City Park. Their Current Project is A Bronze Statue entitled "Calling The Healing Waters", by DaveGovedare/Keith Powell.
The Club has a table size scale model which was developed through the $25,000 raised for the first phase. The second phase is due now and the cost is $17,500. Thhe Garden Club has raised $6,000 toward that goal. These tax deductible contributions are helping bring the finest of art to Soap Lake. Fine art that locals and tourists will be able to enjoy for generations come. Beats the hell out of a giant lava lamp!

Let's build a giant martian observatory so Mar's hypothetical inhabitants that are said to be similar to the inhabitants found living in Soap Lake, Washington can be preserved behind a 60 ft glass conservatory. Scientists recieved monies recently to study the Lake which is half in City of Soap Lake and other half in the County of Grant. Soap Lake Conservancy leader, Jerry Vice, who hails from the West Side, has more detailed information on this micro-study. Vice has been active in areas of lake water conservation at Soap Lake as has John Glassco. Glassco and Vice, both are members of the Conservancy, a group which has become very public figures, fighting to keep boats off of Soap Lake waters. Glassco is also listed as the co-designer of the Giant Lava Lamp. Think how many people would flock to Soap Lake to see martian specimans. You could mount a large microscope on the tower and watch them weird creatures squirm inside the swimming pool. Better than keeping them in a test tube. How about that?

How about copying those forms of life found in Soap Lake that are claimed to be similar to life forms on Mars. First clone speciman found at Soap Lake would get huge media publicity. When we clone it they will come!

The bronze art sculpture is delightful. The SL Garden Club's project relied strictly on private donations, they have not asked the government for a dime of grant money.

Facts are: This lava lamp idea never got into Phase one, public input and community support before an attempt was made to ramrode it into Phase two, application for funding a feasibility study; 2002, State Agency put the kibosh on that plan.

The jist is: There is no FREE lunch! Do the designers, scientists and engineers of this project want to work for free? Let's hear about that before begging for money from other sources.

So far, the Giant Lava Lamp Project Mgr. has not stated anywhere in their media releases who is working for FREE and who will be getting paid.

Are the idea makers willing to invest a million or so towards the development of their own giant lava lamp idea? If not, why expect anyone else to dive in and dish out?
