Re: CITY DOES NOT NEED A FUNKY GIANT FLASHBACK. -- darlene, 09:08:19 02/05/03 Wed
You would think someone might be concerned about lava wax and dangerous chemicals overflowing, runnng down the street into storm drains and ending up in the mineral lake. Isn't there any ecology buffs living in Soap Lake.

This giant lava lamp thing was never planned out in advance. The creators dropped the giant thing on the SL City Council. Information given the City Council was next to none. What a pity, they were used.

I think the rush was on to try to gain ownership of the lava lamp concept. Maybe The Soap Lake Lava Team's Mgr. was not abreast of the fact that Haggerty had renewed their lava rights and after 35 years history in the business commemorated by building the largest lava lamp on the planet. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread!
