Did you ever wonder how long pot stays in a person's lungs? The peace and love groupies that used controlled substances back in the 60s claim they have perodic flashbacks. Glad to be a conventional forties grad rather than a 60s flower child. If it came to a vote on whether to build a giant lava lamp or not, majority of soap lake people would vote a big no. The dream of one man should not take priority over other's dreams. The publicity overkill trappings are usually found to be induced by a dreamer seeking to gain something. Anyone caught in the dreamer's riptide tags along thinking they too have something to gain. The art of salesmanship at work is the tender trap many fall into. If your not smart enough to think for yourself...buyer beware.

Nothing wrong with lava lamp motion. What is wrong, is when people persist on promoting the impossible and try to pass the concept off as cool groovy far out feasible idea. THAT is not living in reality.

re history. This small community in eastern washington has attracted many 60s leftovers, stoners and dreamers with or without integrity. Many of those that took up short resident in the town of soap lake later moved away after having tried to scam their projects through at the expense of local, state and federal government.
