Subject: LAVA LOVE RUN

The Lava Lamp promoters, now selling their posters for $10 a piece, are predicting the descent of 2,000 thundering Harleys July 18-20 on Soap Lake. The promoters have sold the event featuring a non-existent 65-ft Giant Lava Lamp, found only on a 30-ft banner hung on the side of Lava Lamp Central buiding on the NE corner of Main St and Hi-way 17. Everywhere in town are strangers roaming around looking for the Giant Lava Lamp, only to find themselves at the Del Red not caring after a few pitchers whether the Giant Lava Lamp is real, or not. Most leave town swearing they actually saw the Giant Lava Lamp though they can't remember where. Why build one when they are coming without building one.

Some cornballs can't make it otherwise. So move on and adopt a whistle-stop town. Having a need to FEED their own comfort zone, they work to turn a teeney micro of the globe to their own likes. Ask those who do have some culture what they think about late arrivals, those a day late and a dollar short who own a TITLE & suitcase . Ask those who are smart. Ask those who are not sheep. Ask all who are not into fuzzy alternative mind-benders. They can think and do think. They give you that rolled back eye look and you already know what is ready to zip off their tongue. You got it, giant lava lamp is not their idea of cultural progress. Maybe some are just not leftover enough from the 60s, have some sense of reality and can not oggle over a tall boggle. Pretty plain to see who has got their head on straight and who has not; certainly separates the men from the boys about town real quick like.

Stumbled on this site by accident and read some of the posts. Who is this BLAKE anyway and why has he been able to get so much traction with an imaginary non-existent giant symbol of the 60's? Kind of goes well with wearing flowers in your head, but how does that mix with the choppers he says will take over what sounds like a very quiet peaceful little town?

Soap Lake is 60 % SENIORS on low income. This community is a retirement community, a bedroom community to Moses Lake and Ephrata. What it all boils down to is this: A worn-out few burned out has-beens make up a small minority who wants what the majority cares less about. That is it in a nutshell and who the hell made Blake God or adopted him? Noone we all know, Blake adoped Soap Lake. Jackson's NeverLand is a good spot for a Giant Lava Lamp?
