Subject: Would Ladybird Johnson Approve Of Giant Lava Lamp Poster On Scenic Route?

Bless Mrs. Johnson's departed soul. She proudly worked hard to keep our scenery attractive. Then in poor taste, along comes a Giant Lava Lamp Poster nailed up in Soap Lake on the hiway side of someone's private building. What a ghastly idea. Certain to repel the mature well-heeled tourists that can boost Soap Lake's economy. NO CLASS! Sign ordinances are abided by in most respectable communties. Chelan, Wa. even requires plans for erection of signs be inspected by an architect for safety purposes. Of course, Chelan has class.
