Subject: GIANT LAVA LAMP TOUTED:EARTHENWARE & UNIVERSAL(NOT-SO)TRUTHS CAN REVIVE SL ECONOMY?
It has been said that,"There are certain characteristics that really do make Soap Lake unique on Earth, but perhaps not unique in the universe." Must be the chemistry and I do not mean of the lake. Behind the scenes, the word used is "WHACKY IDEAS".

Speaking of whacky ideas, the tri-city herald mentioned a whacky theme idea to top a lava lamp. Tongue in cheek, the writer went on to say they had looked at concepts that went along with their rich agriculture. The idea of a dance troupe dressed like wine grapes and asparagus spears was scratched, there was Trademark problems with Fruit Of The Loom. Good healthy humor. In relation to Trademarks, I recall Doug Clark's article in the Spokesman Review. Doug wrote, "Nor does he (Brent Blake) know if he needs some kind of licensing agreement from the company that makes lava lamps. Good reporting Doug. Never ask a question that you do not have the answer to. :-o)

There are certain characteristics of Europa that mimic the lava lamp; freckles found on Europa. Dr. Robert Pappalardo, a planetary scientist at the University of Colorado, Boulder says that.. "Europa acts like a planetary lava lamp, carrying material from near the surface down to the ocean, and, if they exist, potentially transporting organisms up toward the surface." Could the proposed Soap Lake Giant Lava Lamp idea, described by Sl promotors as a flash they got, came by way of Europa? Sounded pretty spacey!

City of Soap Lake anticipated recieving much needed street funding, this project's application was not granted and was in the $500,000 bracket. The lava lamp promotors are OUT to lunch if they think a $25 million dollar giant lava lamp, which they so stupidly portrayed as being in the center of MAIN street's business drag, will make the grade for funding.
