Subject: GERARD BUTLER UPDATE - THIS AFFECTS ALL OF US, LOL!

Since I can't believe Sunny would know this and not tell us, considering how she feels about Gerard, how much Sue and I love Phantom of the Opera, and how much CC loves all musicals, lol!, I'm expecting that this is big news so here goes...

Gerard has been signed to the lead in the Phantom movie!!!!

I'll pause here for a moment for Sunny to recover from her swoon... :-)

Yup, the article is in today's USA Today (which will be kept in my Joe Lando vault for safekeeping until I can deliver it to Sunny personally, lol!). The headline reads as follows:

"Lara Croft sidekick's next big adventure will be Phantom of the Opera"

It then goes on to say that the movie will begin filming in September (gee, Sun, do you think it'll be in Montreal?) and he beat out Travolta, Banderas and Michael Crawford for the role (thank goodness Williams Michals wasn't up for it is all I can say, right CC?). :-) He's heading to Rio this week to film a movie called "The Game of their Lives" (Sunny wonders who she knows in Rio...) and then it'll be on to Phantom.

Lots of other great stuff, too...how he was in a rock band called Speed (shades of Rob Lawson here, lol!) back in his party days in Scotland. That he's a graduate of Glasgow University (oooh, he's smart, too!) and he took his mother as his date to the premiere of Lara Croft (okay, now I'm even starting to like him! Joe, Joe, help me Joe, I'm weakening, lol!).

And, oh yes, there's also what has to be one of the best pictures I've ever seen of him (Sunny's in her car driving down here now, I just know it!)!

This will be one movie I think we'll all have to see many, many times - for research purposes only, of course... :-)
