Leslie, Lori and Ivy,

Thank you so much for your kind words, compassion and advice. It is nice to know that there are other people out there who are concerned. I more than appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

I had another appointment with my Psychiatrist this morning. It looks as though we are adding a few more additions to “The Plan” to move forward with recovery. It is going to take quite some time before I am back on track. And, I am going to have to file for Short-Term Disability due to not being able to work.

Yes, I am angry at the doctor who neglected and/or disregarded my illness. However, I do not hate this man, nor do I really want to retaliate. We are all human; therefore, we all make mistakes. What I believe is that this particular doctor needs to understand that every decision he makes has a consequence, good or bad. This incident could have easily been avoided if he had paid attention to me and my medical charts. There is also the mental illness issue. The world is ignorant when it comes to mental illness.

Mostly, I fear for others who have adverse reactions to steroids. What if the next patient he gives steroids to has heart risks? No one should have to suffer from neglect.

I am babbling. Again, I truly appreciate your responses. As of now, I am focusing on recovery.

With Love,

S.
