Subject: Re: Prednisone withdrawal?

>I am a 53 year old woman who was diagnosed with UC almost four months ago (I know kind of old). I just last week 5/24/07) took my last prednisone - started at 40mg per day down to 5 and now nothing. I feel worse now than before being diagnosed. I am also taking 3600mg of Asacol plus 20mg of Lexapro(we know what that is for). I have intense lower stomach cramps, running to the bathroom, very tired - do not want to eat and ache every where possible along with chills. I've read that this is withdrawal - please someone tell me how long I am going to feel like this. I will never, ever take prednisone again. Can someone out there help?
