Hi everyone, hope all is "relatively" well with everyone.

It's been awhile since I posted but I try to at least read the board whenever I get a chance. So many times I read the posts and my heart goes out to everyone. I get so frustrated b/c I just never feel like I have any good advice to offer other than what is already provided by all the helpful people on this board.

I think in my last post I was getting ready to wean down to below 5 mg of pred. Well, guess what, didn't happen. I was so optimistic that the radiation treatments had finally taken care of my problems but no such luck. I am getting intermittent double vision again and have absolutely no energy whatsoever. In a nutshell, I am now back up to 15 mg a day. Whenever I try to go below that it is awful, feel like I'm going to throw up constantly, get a really bad headache, and just generally feel bad. I have to work so I simply can't afford to go through whatever that is, I assume withdrawal of some sort. What bothers me the most is I feel like I failed :(

In any case, like many on here, I am now looking into trying Imuran to possibly help me get off the cursed pred. There has been one reported case where this worked for a patient with lymphocytic hypophysitis. Is anyone here familiar with that drug? The side effects do not appear to be too awful and I am willing to give it a try. I am truly desperate at this point and am no longer confident I can recover what the pred has taken away from me over the years.
