My name is Amanda but our band usually calls me Cammy becasue Tab Renaud thought it would be easier because there are about 1000 Amandas that go to ADHS and last year at one point there was 3 or 4 in the band and this year i think there are only 2. but anyhow whats BC like and your band? My band is pretty wierd but for the most part really nice people. anyway I would like to get to know you and your fellow band players better! please write back!

Ps I didn't write back to you because I want to go out with you. I just want to make friens!!

i was only kidding about that part anyways.

but ya what do you play? i am suposed to play the keyboard but we never have to play somes with that in it so i am in percussion.

Guten Tag! (that means hello)
So how is everyone? Sorry it took so long to post a message but I've been so busy and I haven't got my laptop to on the Internet yet, so this is my first international post.. So I suppose everyone has gotten to know their exchange parteners, and I guess I should too.
School here is, well, ummm, unique to say the least. On Wednesdays and Fridays I have one and a half hours of school, but on tuesdays and Thursdays I have 7 and 9 hours. This school has NO musical insturments, so obviously NO bass clarinets, so I'll appoligize in advance if I suck when I get home.

What's happening? Ok well... I am sitting at my computer listening to music. I have 3 older brothers... only one of whom lives at home. Oh and I have a sister. She is not really my sister but she should be. You will meet her probably. My older brother that lives here is a teacher and probably should have moved out. But it is ok... cause he is company when he is here. Oh and I have a cat. Is that ok? My cat usually doesn't hang out near people. She is old and fairly small. I guess most cats are small. I am 19 and I play the French horn. Anyways, hoep to hear from u!

Hey,
How's it goin'? We just got out early from school so i figured i'd might as well write u! I got 3 brothers too...one older and two younger. I also have a cat so i won't mind urs. Umm, lets see, i play rugby and field hockey but i'm not very good at either of them and i like horses, cats, dogs, cows and pigs! Well i don't really got nothin else to say so i'll talk to ya later!

Hi Guys
Unless things change, it appears you'll be staying at the "Steadarosa". If you've gone into the photos of Athens, you probably know that our son Adam will be in Germany while you are in Ontario. However, we are looking forward to you staying with us, and, I am lucky enough to have been chosen to accompany Athens when they come to Delta, so we'll also be spening time together then. We hosted a young man from Alberta during the last exchange, and enjoyed having him as a part of our family for the week he was with us. I also had the opportunity of chaperoning most of the trips that took place while the gang from Spirit River were in Athens, and anyone who was on the last exchange will tell you I play a "mean" game of Laser Tag. Anyway, I'm writing to let you know that we're looking forward to having you stay with us, and if there's anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please let us know. I haven't noticed either of you on the message board, however, feel free to email me, or leave me a message on the board if you have any questions, or
concerns. We'd especially enjoy hearing about your interests, so we can plan something memorable to do on the Sunday that we have free.

Hello Kendra. You don't know me and I don't know you, but that is all about to change. Since you are staying with me here (along with Alex, hehe two twins!) I thought I should get to know you a little better. My name is Alice Davidson and a play T. Sax in the Sands Band. I grew up in Alberta and have lived in small towns all my life (except Delta). I have a bunny, two cats and my sister has fish. Speaking of my siblings: I have two, both older sisters. My parents don't smoke. My Mom needs to know any allergies you may have and what your fave foods are. Nothing else to say i think.

hi Alice. i've been told i'm with you but i'm not sure because the twins keep changing. i only have 1 allergie. that is (sorry if my spelling is wrong) Penicillan. my favorite food is Pizza with no meat. i'm vegetarian. but i only won't eat meat. i've only lived in one Country, one province, one small town, and one house my whole life. i have one big bro and two little sises.i have one cat. he is grey! he is funny when he goes insane. well i'd like to keep in touch. my e-mail is : sparkle_monster@hotmail.com

hey alice. this is alex not kendra. i just wanted to say that kendra doesn't have the net at home and she uses it either at school or in the athens public library so she doesn't have msn. although she might get it next year when her brother goes to college or university or wherever he's gonna go after high school.

Thanks for telling me Alex, I appreciate it. I would have seemed like an idiot to talk try to talk to her on MSN if she isn't there. Oh well, we all have our off days (or in my case month)

Hey, guys. Sorry that the billet thing is a bit confusing, but it mostly has to do with the fact that we have 21 girls and 10 guys, and you have 21 guys and 10 girls. It means that some guys here have to double-up, and some girls when we go there have to double up... and that all translates into the fact that some of you don't stay with the same person you'll host, and visa versa. Anyway, we spend so much time doing stuff all together, that it's all good anyway.

Only about 5 weeks away!

O.K. I didn't check the mssg board in months, and now I'm confused with the format.... I want to say HI!!! to all my Athenian friends (I miss you all!) and HI! To our new Sands friends!
If you're confused by this statement, it's b/c you don't know my situation. I went to Athens all grade 9, all grade 10 and half of grade 11 (last semster). Then I transferred to North Grenville (ducks the hail of shoes being thrown at her). I still wanted to go on the exchange, so ppl made amendments for me, and so I'm still going! *YAY*
My twin is Laura F. I think, so if she comes on here and wants to get in touch with me (I'd LOVE to talk to her) my email is tszulga@hotmail.com and I have MSN.
That is all for now, I'm gonna try and post here more often... ;)

My friend Tabby who is also in band calls me cammy so she dosn't get confused because there is another Amanda in the band who's last name is kaldaway. Hey Mike A.,
It might be freaky....no promises it wont, but im sure you'll live through it:) Plus if you like playing bass, guitar, drums, or keyboard(or any other instrument that type) we have them. My dad has a studio set up in the basement so if you like them maybe you can play. Its like Jamies place, but lots of different things. Plus we have a lot of different types of music around the house. Anyways I hope you have fun!

Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here since I first started this web-site...I've badly neglected it but JP has fixed it up thank goodness. Just some information for Jessica when she comes to stay with me-you have your own room to stay in. It was my brother's but he moved out a few months ago (ok it's yours assuming that he can make rent for the next few months) the only bad thing about it is that it's painted black which isn't exactly my choice of colours but if you like black then we're all set. There is a washroom connected in between our rooms. My mom and I live alone in our house which is really way too big for two people....my Dad lives down the road (my parents split up and he re-married) Shawna, Jamie and I all live on the same road about a two minute walk in between each of our houses. We have a very fat pet cat (just ask anyone who has seen it) and other than that there's not much else to say....we do have an indoor pool and a hot tub but the pool is more of a rink right now and the hot tub is empty (sorry) If you or Elizabeth or anyone else have any questions just let me know. To everyone else, can't wait until you get here!

Well sorry to say but I'm not up high on the drumming pedestal. I've sort of quasi given up guitar but I did play it awhile (but it was classical...) and as you probably noticed I play alto saxophone in band. I can't really say if Ian does either, I think he doesn't but I could be wrong.

OMG, sorry i haven't been on lately.....more like ever!!! but i just haven't had the time lately!!! I just had my 16th birthday and i was trying to get ready for the party and homework was bad. Anyways,

Is your cake gone yet? This band trip is going to be so great! I play clarinet and it is so much fun!

I have a dog named Snuggims or Muggins whichever you prefer. My hair is reddish-blondish-brownish.

Does anyone at Sands like Big Brother? I can't wait for season number 4! I also watch Bold and the Beautiful and Guiding Light and Gilmore Girls and the Bachelorette and Joe Millionaire and National Geographic and Music Videos and I really love my satellite dish.

The walls in my room are pink. Our house has a mud room, according to my boyfriend, Andrew. We also have several closets. A kitchen, a dining room, a living room but unfortunately no indoor plumbing. The outhouse is only a five minute jog down the lane. Just Kidding. We have two fully service rest rooms.

Hi everyone!
I'd like to set a few things straight, although all the things said in the last posting by "me" were true, I did not write it! That would be my lovely friend Sarah, who I used to trust and respect greatly that wrote it. I was encouraging her but I didn't actually think she would post it. She's laughing evily right now. But don't worry if your paired with her, she's somewhat normal. For someone that was a Smart Ask semi-finalist. Have you heard of that? I have tapes that we can watch. Sarah says I'm going to scare away whoever I'm paired with. But don't worry, I can be normal and I will try especially hard!

If you've also noticed, I am also the initial Jess that was the non-band member that was going to miss all her friends! Well surprise! Somehow taking Grade 10 music for 2 weeks qualifies me to come, and for the record I think I can play hot cross buns exceptionally well. Hopefully by the time we meet you I can either play or fake it.

I did watch Joe Millionaire last night, wasn't it great Shawna? And I know Sarah secretly watched it too.

Do you guys have Tim Hortons out there? I work at one, it is JUST GREAT (sarcasm). Yesterday, B.B. King stopped in to eat. How cool is that.... ok, if ya don't know B.B. King is a famous blues guitarist.
Yeah so i play guitar and like music.... good music, sorry not much Nirvana, they are ok but nothing more. Being a guitar player I have more respect for bands that can (i'm gonna get flamed) PLAY their instruments. That means NO Blink 182, Sum 41, Limp Bizkit. Hmmm.... this keyboard is French... Yeah so there ya go...

well, i play bass (pretty crappy though, just got it at christmas), trumpet, baritone and piano and a touch of guitar... as well as a lot comp/xbox/whatever else my friends have.

I'll ignore the Nirvana part (everyone's got their own views), but i totally agree with the rest. Good music is canadian alternative rock. GOOD STUFF!

Did BB King REEEEAAAALLLYYY go into your Tim hortons? he did a song with one of my fave bands..but *coughs* no one would like/know this band, so i wont tell you all... (whispers:its U2, don't make fun of me. more so the opld stuff they played... if that makes any difference... which it probably doesn't)

like 5 police officers come in hortons each day,
and I was the one who served BB King, Wendy's is better Davey,
because other than BB, Treble Charger, Snoop Dog, and Willie Nelson have been there, and I was there for all except Snoop,

NO he didn't have his guitar with him, and I didn't spit in his drink, cause I didn't even know it was him until after wards, and if i had i wouldn't have anything..cause thats just gross....

I have choosen to express my opinions on what you have just told me now... online... rather then in person. Is it better to suck at playing your instrument but go down in history as Kurt Cobain (need I say more)or go down in history as someone who can play but no one listens to?
I would rather die a legend. Look at the Beatles... they were very bad at their instruments. But John Lennon was cute, that might help however... I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Dave on his guitar playing because he is very good at it.

By the way did i ever mention i have real long hair? It was 3 ft. untill a couple months ago when i cut it 8 inches. It's still perdy long though. Well i don't really have nothin else to say. I'm realy busy so i won't be able to write stuff on this message thing much but i'll try!

Hey Kim,

I play rugby as well, and have for 3 years, its a pretty cool sport, anyway dont have much to say.....other than that..

Hey Kim,
Sorry I have written back in a while, but no one ever writes to me so i wasn't on...
Well I play alittle bit of everything, hooker not as much though cause i dont like it...normally I am a wing but I love to play prop as much as possible I love being up there...but considering my size they hardly ever let me..
this is my forth year and I am not that great either...
