Ah, with a beautiful angel at his side, he felt almost as if his heart knew how to skip again as he escorted her down the hall they had walked so many times. From the very first night he had hauled an unconscious girl up the many flights of stairs to now, many years later with a lover, not a captive, on his arm, how precious was his golden-haired queen to his heart! Now all she needed was a palace to rule as delicately as she did his heart.

There, there was GiGi's surprise waiting! Setting the beauty carefully on her feet once more as they gained the sidewalk, still warm from the afternoon sun, he offered his arm as she steadied herself, biting back a grin. "That is, if you care to join me on a little drive?"
