I'm missing both laterals and the canines were in the lateral position, bonded to look like laterals, for about about 17 years. I decided to bite the bullet, get braces to move the canines back, and get implants. I have many reasons for doing this, which I've explained on this site before so I won't bore everyone again. I'm almost 2 1/2 years into braces and hope to be able to get the implants soon. Next month's panorex will give me a better idea. I do expect to pay $6000 for the implants, but I think it will be worth it in the long run...I expect to live another 45 years+, so I'm considering this an investment in my long-term dental health.
