Subject: Peg Lateral and missing lateral

I am just curious to hear if anyone else has had to deal with missing and/or peg laterals & what was done to fix it. I am missing a lateral on the left side & my canine moved forward in its place. I have no spaces, but the tooth behind the canine came in very crooked. Then, on my right side I have a peg lateral that will have a little more space for a crown (or veneer?) once the braces come off.
I also had the option of making space for the lateral and putting in an implant. However, the cost & time to me are not worth it. Plus, I am used to having the canine up front. Sorry this is so long! Anyone experience this?
