The problem I found with eating normal food with braces is that just about everything breaks brackets. And my ortho charges $120 for each broken bracket. In addition to yelling at you in front of all the other patients. But anyway, I could no longer afford the $120, so I just decided to stick with soup and soft foods. Yes, I have found that food getting stuck is a big problem. I always carry a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, a small cup, and a small bottle of listerine with me. It is also crucial for me to get rid of that food before plaque forms, since I have enamel hyperplasia, I'm bound to get tons of cavities if I'm not this carefull in general, especially with braces.
