Hi,

Congrats on your new braces!! As for the ligs, if they really bother you then you should call the orthos office and see if you can come in for a ligature change. Most will do it, no problem. I can tell you though, that you will notice your braces and everything about them MUCH more than anyone else does. Good Luck!!

Melody

I got my braces last thursday and I chose hot pink,
>top and bottom. If I was going to do a color I thought
>why not go with the brightest, that color stood out
>when looking at all the choices. Can I go back before
>my next appointment and change them out do you think?
>Honestly when I am with my girlfriend or other friends
>my braces aren't an issue. But when I am by myself in
>public I feel self concious about my braces a bit.
>When with friends I think your more comfortable and
>they know you for you. Meeting strangers though, they
>don't know you - just that you have a mouthful of
>metal. This whole experience so far has been an eye
>opener. I will admit I was that guy who looked at a
>person's braces when talking to them and not at their
>eyes, and now people are doing it to me! Am I fooling
>myself thinking the ligature color make's that big of
>a difference?
>(sorry for the long message - again!)
