Subject: changing lig. colors/self concious Author: BobNVA [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 12:41:06 08/21/04 Sat I got my braces last thursday and I chose hot pink, top and bottom. If I was going to do a color I thought why not go with the brightest, that color stood out when looking at all the choices. Can I go back before my next appointment and change them out do you think? Honestly when I am with my girlfriend or other friends my braces aren't an issue. But when I am by myself in public I feel self concious about my braces a bit. When with friends I think your more comfortable and they know you for you. Meeting strangers though, they don't know you - just that you have a mouthful of metal. This whole experience so far has been an eye opener. I will admit I was that guy who looked at a person's braces when talking to them and not at their eyes, and now people are doing it to me!
