It is like a Catch-22 situation isn't it? I don't think it is unexpected that you would get headaches back with braces and splints shifting your teeth.

I guess the only thing I can say is that if you had headaches due to TMJ.. what caused the TMJ? If it's that your bite is off and therefore putting pressure on your jaw, then it really would be worth your while to continue to have the braces on and fix the problem once and for all. I don't say this lightly.. I know all about TMJ/headache/slipped disc pain!

I mentioned in an earlier TMJ post about using accupressure to help relieve the muscle spasms, I really believe in it. It would be worth your while to try it. I hope that you feel better soon!!
