Its been 6 weeks for me too..going for my first adjustment this coming week. I can only chew on one side of my mouth since I have two missing bottom molars (implants in the future) and I still can't bite into anything with my two front teeth (too painful)..I just cut up my sandwiches in bite size pieces and eat on the side that hurts the least. Hang in there. By the way, I asked the same question about root canaled teeth, fillings, etc...the answer is no. Orthos work on those teeth all the time. I worry about having my braces on my implants...imagine spending all that money on implants and having the braces loosen the implant!!! Arrgh! I have to play a wait and see game and not stress out.
