Christina

I'm planning on an implant to replace extracted upper right molars. Just one I hope. My orthodontist recommends waiting until the teeth are moved and braces off before getting an implant. I have not asked her yet, but it seems a legitimate question about the implant moving around once it is in place. The wait time is 3 to 6 months after the titanium implant screw is placed before actually getting the tooth.

Is your orthodontist planning to have you get implants while you are in braces, then adding the implants to the archwire and moving them along with your own teeth?
